In the world there are several large international organizations that unite the societies and unions of dog breeders of different countries. The largest such organization is the International Cynological Federation (Fédération Cynologique Internationale - FCI). It includes cynological organizations in 91 countries.
FCI has agreements on mutual recognition of pedigrees and titles with non-members of any other associations AKC (American Kennel Club, USA) and The Kennel Club (Great Britain).
But despite the agreements on mutual recognition, all three independent organizations mentioned have their own edition of Bichon Frize breed standards. Therefore, planning to participate in such prestigious exhibitions as Westminster (USA) or Crufts (Great Britain), it is necessary to remember about these differences in the standards operating there.
